Team X, Base 15

Xavier sat in his chair inside the largest room of their base as he looked at his team with his two sub leaders standing beside him. "While Psylocke establishes a psi-link with Knightcralwer I will breif you on the situation." Closing her eyes, Psylocke would begin to creat the link between her and the blue skinned mutant.

"Why am I not leading a team?" Bishop's thick voice bursted from the back of the croud of mutants interupting the telepath. "Because you are not fit to." Xavier would conlcuded when Lady Deathstrike added "As long as I get my fingers wrapped around Wolverines neck I'll be satisfied."

Chuckling to herself Havok would roar "Everyone shut up and listin. As we speak the other teams are mobalizing and unless you wanna die I suggest you listin." Nodding to Havok, Xavier would continue. "All of you have read the bingo books you have so we know whos on what team. So we've established four teams." Telling everyone who was in what team their leader continued. "Team Alpha and team Beta will be our strike force teams. You guys will be sent to kill the enemy presents Beats and Domino. We may split you up into team two teams later, one attack team and one deffensive team so everyone be ready to change teams at any time.

Charlie team will stay here to protect our flag and basement. Then theres the spec ops team. For now Psylocke will join the spec ops team to get an update on the situation. Any questions?" No one answered so Havok continued.

"Lets get moving. Iceman, Lady Deathstrike and Bishop get to the roof. Mastermind head to the basement. Everyone else take up defensive positions inside and around the house untill further notice." Turning to look down at Psylocke Havok would ask "Betsy?"

Opening her eyes she would say "Done." Psylocke noded and said "Spec ops, get ready. Were mobalizing." Watching as his fellow mutants get ready for war, Charles only wished that he saw more of his X-men on his team because now they would have to fall to the hands of his team mates. A sad sight for Xavier, mutants killing mutants. Something he would like to avoid.

The the mutants mobalized around their base taking up different diffensive positions Knightcralwer took the hands of Psylocke and Kitty. "Spec ops mobalizing." Psylocke would say to Xavier as she nodded the Knightcralwer. Closing his eyes and whispering a little prayer to himself, the three of them would explode into black and blue mist, vanishing from the room.

Leaving Polaris, Legion and Xavier behind, Polaris would ask "Are we really gonna wait for them before we move?" Looking out the window Charles would say "Patience my dear. We dont know whats out there and I'm not about to send you out to die. Once we know whats going on we will send you out."

Legion sat in a chair picking dirt out of his nails as he crossed his legs and said "Lemme burn something before I burn down this whole building." Releasing a sigh Charles will say "Patience." He didnt know if Legion would be more dangerous to his teammates than valuable with all his split personalities.

Ice man stepped out the back door and slid Bishop, Lady Deathstrike and himself up onto the roof. Already in his ice state, Bobby would walk up to the flag while Bishop walked around the tiled roof scanning the battlefield. Balancing his lazer rifle on his right shoulder he would say in an angered deep voice "Make it quick frosty, they do have teleporters."

Lifting up both his arms, Bobby would shoot two rays of ice as he created a thick dome of ice around their flag. The dome was extremely thick and would take a lot to brake through it. "How are we suppose to see anyone with all these buildings around here?" Lady complained as she sat down on the roof like she was waiting for a bus.

Iceman would stand at the back of the roof while Bishop walked along its edges "Xavier will sense anyone who comes near" Bobby replied "So he'll let us know when they come." For now all they could do was wait for the spec ops team and or Xavier.

“What?” said Emma as she detected someone up ahead where Cannonball was headed and behind her. Behind her was Deadpool, and ahead of her was Betsy. But before she could do anything Betsy disappeared and was out of her range. “Sam, do you see anyone?” Emma asked trying to figure out where she went. “No, there is no one here. It’s clear.” “So she must have a teleporter with her” Emma would say to herself as she closed her eyes and began contacting Storm. “Storm, Wade is on the way to our base. He seems alone but the others minds may be block. And Betsy may be near with a possible teleporter.” Opening her eyes. Opening her eyes to the team she would say, “ let’s pick up the paste.”

Now team Frost was inside building 7 and Emma was concentrating on everyone that was at base 15. “There’s an army of mutants inside that base. And it seems the other team got here before us” she said as she detected Wolverine’s team. Looking at everyone she’d continue. “Change of plans, Juggernaut” as she put her hand out. Juggernaut handed her both the brief cases as Emma kept one and handed the other to Selene. “Selene, your planting the bomb, you can get in there without anyone even noticing. Juggernaut and Holocaust, you’ll be a distraction unit. Sam, you’ll cover them from the skies. I’ll be here protecting Holocaust and Sam from mental attacks.” Selene took the brief case while saying “you sure you can handle it” referring to the two minds she had to protect. “Don’t worry, I can do a lot more” Emma replied with a grin. “Now move out.”

Emma began protecting the minds of Sam and Holocaust as Selene turned into a cloud of shadow and vanished. If anyone tried getting into the minds of Sam and Holocaust, they would be blocked by a diamond wall. Sam flew out of the building and Holocaust and Juggernaut were running. As Juggernaut ran, he’d get a bit faster every time like a charging bull.

The minute Deadpoolings attack team entered the perimeter of Xaviers telepathic reach he detected Mystique, Emplate, Rogue, Wolveri... The second Xavier's mind came into contact with Logan's, flashes of green light and blood bolted through his mind slightly stunning him. Placing his hand on his head trying to ease the pain, Polaris would yell, "Whats the matter?!" "Cabal's team as arrived. Our roof team will take care of it." "Bishop, Deathstrike and Bobby, there are three mutants approaching from the front of our base, and two..... two from the left." Xavier slightly paused in the middle of his sentence as emplate could no longer be detected.

A demonic grin formed on the lare black mans face as he roughly took the gun off his shoulder and slammed it into the palm of his other hand. Watching as Rogue flew through the air, Bishop was about to blast the three of them right out of the sky, but Rogue threw Wolverine and Sabertooth through the air towards the roof. Leaving them unable to dodge while suspended in the air, red and blue energy charged in the barral of his gun. The energy shor forward and collided right into the torso of Wolverine hitting him out of the air and smashed into one of the smaller buildings to the left of building #16.

"Wolverine!!" Lady Deathstrike roared with a maniacal expressed whiped across her face. Pouncing off the building completelty ignoring Victor and Rogue. As the blades in her fingers extended to their fullest length, she landed infront of the building that Wolverine crash landed in. "Your head will fit nicely on my wall, Wolverine!"

Xavier recieved Psylocks warning of Emma Frost's aproaching team, and her team was a most frightening one. "Havok, Polaris, Legion, Sunfire and Colossus head outside to the courtyard. Emma Frost is approaching with Cannonball, Holocaust, Scelene and maybe Juggernaut .." Every mentioned member herd Xavier's telepathic message and insteantly left the building. "Common Legion, lets go burn something." Polaris said as she walked out the same room as Xavier. Getting up of his chair Legion would follow the green haired woman. "Why would I want to burn something?"
"Morph, head to the basement with Mastermind and Gambit come here." Gambit made his way to Xaviers position and Morph entered the basement with Mastermind. He would transform into a pipe that looked like it connected to the boiler to blend with his surrounding area.

Polaris hovered out of their base as Havok, Legion, Colossus followed from behind. Sunfire took on his fire form as he launched into the air soaring with a trail of flames behind him. As they headed towards position 4, the court yard. "Polaris, Take care of Cannonball. Dont let him get to the base. Sunfire, you'll have to deal with Holocaust, Legion deal with Scelene." Havok gave out the orders to his team as Polaris said "Everyone stay close to each other..." But it was too late as Sunfire had already polted off into the distance, the only thing on his mind was killing Holocaust. "Damn it Sunfire." Havok mumbled to himself. "Everyone pick up the pace."

While the rest of Emma’s team was fighting, Selene was now at the base on the port side away from all the chaos. Entering from the back into a room Selene searched the room to see if there was a stair case that would lead to the bottom. But there was none, it was just an empty room. Walking over to the entrance of the room she would enter the next one where she spotted someone standing behind Xavier, and no one else. "They left Xavier alone. They're a cocky bunch" Selene said to herself which was ironic because she was also on her own. What was strange was the person behind Xavier and Xavier both seemed transparent. Selene did not bother with them for she was searching for the stair case which would lead her to the basement. Holding the brief case she would begin her search while making sure Emplate didn't come near her and try the same thing he was doing to Xavier. "Neat trick you got there" Selene would say to him while searching for the stairs, room by room. "I'm guessing your not one of Xavier's teammates. It'll teach them to leave him alone" she said. The only reason she hadn't ignored him was because she was intrigued by his ability. But then she spotted the stairs and simply gave a sinister grin as she headed down it, hoping no one would stop her.

Bishop had successfuly hit Wolverine out of the air before he had the chance to land onto the roof. Surprisingly Sabertooth dashed forward with savage like speed and was infront of the larger black man within seconds. Victors assault on his gun knocked Bishops weapon out of his hands and sliding across the roof. Victor's second attack managed to hit Bishop bellow his ribs, but it wasnt as painful as it was ment to be. Because Bishop constantly absorbed energy, even forms of kintetic energy and was naturaly tougher than a regualr human, Sabertooth's claws didnt cut as deep into his flesh as they were suppose to.

Before he could grab hold of Bishop's neck, suddenly from his feet up started being incased in ice. Iceman was shooting two streams of frost from his hands. Working his way up, Bobby would incase Victor's entire body in a block of ice, leaving on his head free from its cold grasp. Bishop would look down at Sabertooth with a deathly grin. "Your first mistake was coming for me you runt." Lifting up his right fist, it would glow with energy red and blue energy. Thrusting his fist forward with supernatural strength, at the exact moment his fist came into contact with Victor's face he would release the energy blowing his head right off his shoulders.

Turning his attention to Rogue who was the only enemy left unattended to, he was surprised she hadent attacked him yet. She had made it to the flag and already took a crack and penetrating it. A couple of more blows like that and she would have the flag in no time. Lifting both his arms to face her, the ends of his arms would sharpen and extended into javlens. Shooting the two ice javlins off of his arms, they would peirce into her torso, puncturing vitals organs. Iceman would be surprised if she survived such an attack. Even though he did not want to kill Rogue, at the moment he had no choice.

Turning her maniacal gaze over to the voice of Beast, Deathstrike would begin to laugh out loud. "Can I get any luckier! Not only will I have Wolverines head but I will kill Mangeto's presedent." Watching as Wolverine jumped out of the rubble and unleashed his claws, Deathstrike would dash forward with her inhanced speed and thrusted her right arm forward. Her adimantium blades being longer than Wolverine's would give her the advantage as she aimed them strait for his face, more specificly his eyes.

By the time Xavier sensed the presence of Emplate in the room it was already too late. And by the time Gambit made it into the room it was also already too late. When Remy entered the room Xavier was being held by the demon emplate and seemed to be vanishing from sight as he looked like he was being de-materialized. "Ah non. Xavier." Turning his attention to the 'thing' that smoke to him as he mentioned him being immune to telepathy. "Oui c'est vrai. So since I have such an extraordinary power why dont you take me instead of dis poor little old man. Non?" Gambit would ask lifting his arms. "Why isnt dat old man doin anyting?" He asked to himself in a thick french accent.

Morph remained 'camoulfaged' with the serrounding environment as he and Mastermind patiently waited for a little action. Leaning against the back wall of the basement, he picked through the dirt in his fingers not expecting any action all the way down here. Surprisingly someone took a step onto the creaking stairs, and it wasnt one of their teammates. Mastermind knew exactly who it was before she made it the stairwell. In fact he knew who it was while she was roaming the house looking for the basement. He was just waiting for her to find the basement before he made it move.

When she took her first step onto the old step, Mastermind would instantly shroud her head for both himself and Morph. When she finally made it down to the basement she would not see Mastermind nor the pipe that Morph formed. "You placed her in an illusion?" Morph telepathicly asked. "Yes." Answering back in his head. "She cant see, hear, smell or sense us. Were completelty invisible to her. Now just wait a let me have a little fun with her."

Once Scelene, would set the suit case down and open it to her surprise she would be looking inside an empty suit case. The bomb was not there, or atleast to her. If she went to touch where the bomb should be she would think she was touching empty space or making direct contact with the inside of the suitcase. If she would lift it again to see if it was heavy like before, it would be as light as a suitcase with no bomb in it. To her mind the bomb wasnt there in everyway possible, but it was infact still there and she would never know unless she left Mastermind telepathic reach. She would probably think her teammates gave her a fake suitcase.

Selene opened up her brief case only to see there was no bomb once she entered the basement. “What?” she said as she began looking for it like a secret hatch to see if the bomb was hidden incases it had been stolen, but there was nothing. The brief case also got lighter as she closed it and said “that damn bitch, she gave me the wrong case” she said referring to Emma Frost thinking she did it because Emma didn’t like Selene. “I’m going to kill the bitch Emma said” as she turned around to go back up the stairs but came to a sudden halt when something struck her. Maybe Xavier had dealt with the guy behind him and saw Selene enter the basement, and maybe he got inside of her head and changed everything from the inside. But in reality the bomb was still inside the case. So she turned back into the room as she began using her telepathic ability to hide her own thoughts behind those of others, which was everyone inside and around the base. Now that she had done that it would be harder for Mastermind to keep a grip on her mind as he would be seeing the thoughts of his teammates and Wolverines teammates instead of Selene. As that started to happen Selene started getting her vision back and could not see Mastermind standing in the same room, as her and her brief case was heavy again. “So it was you” she said with a grin realizing he put her in an illusion. “Why don’t you try again” she said, because if he tried again he could possibly cast an illusion on his own teammate. Opening the brief case Selene activated the bomb as indicated and closed it, but kept it with her. “I wonder if you’re even smart enough to deactivate his bomb” she said, mocking the illusionist.

Mastermind's eyes opened wide when he realized Xavier was gone. "Where the hell did X go?!" Morph roared from his pipe form, telepathicly to Mastermind. "Enough horsing around, its time to end this." Somehow Scelen was transfrer Mastermind to the mind of the other people surronding the building. Taking his mind off her, Mastermind would focus on everyone outside the building which was Rogue, Emplate, Mystique and Sabertooth. Activating the same illusion on all of them as he had done to Scelene, all of his teammates would vanish from their sight. It was as if they turned invisible to their eyes, touch, sense of smell, everything. Even if they were to touch his teammates they would not know it, it was as if they werent even there. As Scelene came back down the stairs, now that he had everyone else in an illusion it made it that much easier to put her back in one.

Being the master telepath he was, Scelene would be put right back into the same illusion she was in before. The case, would be empty and weightless and Mastermind and Morph were still invisivle to her as the bomb was. "Deal with her." Mastermind angrily told Morph. Without the woman knowing, Morph turned back to his normal body but was stretched out like a carpet. "No need to get mad at me." He said in a humorous way as he collided with into Scelene. Wrapping his extended body around her the same way you roll carpets, Morph would completelty constrict Scelene to the point where she would be unable to move, even if she turned into her little cloud mode, there would be little to no room for her to seep through. Tightning around her with each breath like an anaconda, as he covered her whole body he would begin to suffocate her. Not only would he crush her chest with every breath she took, but his body covered her mouth the same way as if someone's head was inside a plastic bag. Continueing to constrict himself around her it would only be a matter of seconds before he both crushed her and suffocated her.

"Ohhh shi.." Deathstrike yellped as Logan ducked under her strike and G.S.P'd her to the ground. With ease the short stubby man full mounted her and placed his left arm over his throat, cracking his other one for a strike to the torso. Before he braight his arm down, Deathstrike thrusted her left arm upwards piercing three adamantium nails right into his armpit. This would surly stun and prevent him from completing his attack. With that Deathstrike would swing his right arm sideways and twist her whole body in the same direction at the same time. Slashing Wolverine across the face with four of her long blades, she would use both the momentum of her attack and twisting her body to throw him over to the side and off of her. Swiftly getting back onto her feet, laughing widely Lady Deathstrike would dash forward, almost dumbling in the exiteming of the battle. By now Mystiques mind would be clouded by Mastermind illusion and would take some time to break out of it since she did have resistance to such attacks.

Bishop felt the presance of Emplate in his mind, and wasnt able to absorb enought of the telepathic energy before he fist changed direction and broke Sabertooth free. Iceman completelty lost control over his body and turned to free his own teammates. "Damn it!!" Bishop roared as his body was soon trapped within his own teammates ice. Iceman simply stood there completelty out of it. Rogue walked up to Iceman and touched his facem absorbing what powers she needed without killing him. As she pulled back her first suddenly Bobby vanished from both hers and Victor's sight. If she turned to look at Bishop he too was gone, even the ice around him.

Mastermind's illusion took effect and now all his teammates were gone. Even if she went to go touch where Bobby was and succesfuly touched him, to her mind she would be touching nothing, just waving her hand in the air. By then Emplat left with old man Xavier and freed Bobby. Noticing Rogue and Sabertooth were puzzled, he didnt take a second to question what happened. Swiftly, the size of both his arms would grow bigger, to about the size of Colossus' arms. Thrusting them both forward into Rogue and Victor, both of them would be hit right off the roof. But because of the illusion they would not feel the attack, it would be as if they themselves jumped off the building.

Swiftly running over to Bishop, Iceman unfroze him. Shaking his muscles off, in anger to oversized man would rage "There is another telepath here. What the hell is Xavier doing?" Walking over to go grab his gun Bobby said "I dunno, but I think Mastermind put them in an illusion. It was like they didnt even seen me." Walking over to the edge of the building, Bishop lifted his rifle to eye level. Clossing one eye and aiming down at Rogue he replied "Bout time that peice of shit did something." Fireing with master marksmenship, Bishop shot a high powered energy blast strait for her head.

Gambit watched as he stood alone in the room with just the chair of Xavier. Anger raged through him when Emplate re-appeared. Grabbing his bo-staff from behind him in his right hand, Gambit would say "I can tell you, I dont taste too good." Holding his metal staff with only one hand, Gambit would charge it with enough energy to completly level his own base. Using his inhanced speed and agility, Remy took a low step forward swining his staff at a diagonal angle right down to up. If he managed to hit Emplate do to his inhances physical attributes and his powered staff, it would feel like he was hit by two 18 wheelers going 120km and hour. The strike would completely shatter his ribs to dust and send him flying out of their base back to where he came from. But Gambit was a natural born trickster, if his attack somehow missed, he secretly charged two cards in his opposite hand, out of Emplates sight.

The special ops team appeared in the main room with an explossion of hazy, dark blue mist. Holding hands with Psylocke where Nightcralwer and Shadowcat. They would appear to see Xavier missing from his chair and Gambit in battle with Emplate. If Gambit's strike worked and he succesfuly managed to hit Emplate out of the room, Psylocke would rage "What the fuck!!! Where's Xavier?!!?" "Emplate took em. I can handle em, I shall keep em alive for questioning. Without Xavier no one watchin Havok. Go check him." "Emma!!" Psylocke though to herself. "Fuck!! Alright lets go Kurt, Ill direct you to the battle." Blocking Kitty and Kurt's mind from any near by telepaths once more, the three of them would vanish.
This were only the case if Gambit's attack worked on Emplate. If not the three of them would enter the room to witness what ever Emplates counter attack would be.

Wolverine roared with pain as Deathstrike pierced a nerve bundle. He was powerless to defend from what came next as his face was slashed and he was rolled aside. Forcing himself back up, Logan turned to look at Deathstrike who was also getting back up. Both his and Mystique's eyes opened wide when the clawed woman vanished from not only their sight, but all their senses. This wasn't Wolverine's first disco, however, and fighting an opponent he couldn't see wasn't an impossible task to him. Swiftly looking down at the dirt road, he could clearly see Yuriko's footsteps drawing closer. Smacking his right hand onto the ground, Wolverine swung his left foot in a wide arc and attempted to sweep the woman right off her feet. Since he couldn't feel her, he would have no way of knowing if it worked or not, so he yelled out to Mystique anyway, "Keep your eyes on the road! Xavier must be playing one of his mind tricks on us!"

"Easier said than done..." Mystique muttered to herself as she pointed her weapon in Logan's direction and did what he told her to.

About that same time, Rogue and Sabertooth came crashing back down to the ground, and Emplate returned to the room with Gambit. "Only one way to find out..." Emplate said through his respirator when Gambit said he didn't taste good. As the frenchman charged his staff, Emplate entered the mind of Havok. The swing came, and it passed right through Emplate like he wasn't even there. Having taken control of Havok's mind, Marius made him turn to face the base, focus all his energy into the circle on his chest, and then release a blast like never seen before. Right before Bishop would fire his energy bolt, the titanic plasma train Havok released would obliterate the base. Emplate stood calmly as everything around him was being shattered and he was engulfed by a blinding blue light. Only Marius and those in the basement would be safe, everyone else on or inside of the base would either be incinerated of severely injured.

After the light faded, Emplate materialized himself again and reached into the minds of his teammates. He immediately discovered that they were all under an illusion, and traced it back to a man in the basement. "Clever..." he said to himself. (You're all trapped in an illusion... I cleared way for you to capture the flag and escape.) Emplate broadcasted to the minds of his allies.

"This is gettin' real complicated...!" Rogue muttered as she burst off the ground and flew full speed towards the flag in the sky. Once there, she pulled it out and threw it at Sabertooth like a spear. The beast of man caught it with 1 hand, turned, and began running towards the beach.

"Let's go, kids!" Victor roared as he ran passed Wolverine and Mystique.

Rogue looked down at Emplate who was just standing in the rubble and asked, "Where's the illusionist?" Without speaking a word, Emplate just pointed a skinny finger at the covered up entrance to the basement. Rogue nodded and said with a smile, "Hope y'all brought your coats, cuz it's about to get real chilli!" Her fists became shrouded in a misty blue aura, and then she thrusted them both to where Emplate was pointing. A frost beam extended from her hands and burst down into the basement. Within a matter of seconds, everyone down there would be trapped in a prison of ice.

Selene managed to get the bomb set as it was tossed to the floor near her, not expecting Mastermind to deactivate it. Even with her hiding her thoughts behind both the other teams members, mastermind was able to reach Selene’s mind once again casting another illusion on her. But to Selene it did not matter for she got the bomb activated and it was only a matter of time before it blew up. And she was the only one inside the basement who could survive the explosion. Mastermind soon vanished from every one of Selene’s senses, but that was all he could do. It was not like he could physically stop her, so she turned to go back up the stairs and noticed a bunch of rubble sealed it off. Knowing the base was blown up she still intended on making her way through it, but found she couldn’t move her body. Looking down at her own body she noticed it was being crushed together but couldn’t feel it and she could no longer breath as if something was blocking her mouth. Even though she couldn’t feel what was doing it to her, she could feel her bones pushing together and cracking. Before she knew it she was unconscious from the lack of oxygen and from her bones crushing together with her organs.

Deathstrike hopped into the air using her speed as momentum going right over Wolverine's sweep kick. Thrusting her right foot right into Logan's face, Lady Deathstrike would shatter his nose and knock him backwards onto the ground. Landing over him with her feet to his sides, she would raise her right arm with a maniacal grin on her face. "Todays the day you die."

Bishop's one open eye swiftly darted to the edge of its socket as something in the corner of his eye caught his attention. "What the fuck?" He yelled as he watched a massive plasma beam from Havok's team location head strait towards the building. "Get ready snow flak.." The plasma blast collided right into their base and into Bobby and Bishop. Thanks to Bishops power, most of the blast was absorbed and delt little damage to him, but was still strong enought to knock him right off the roof and into the lake behind them. Iceman managed to make a wall of ice thick enough to block off a good amount of the blast, and thanks to his ice armor it delt even less to him. But it was still a powerful one, and he followed Bishop right into the depths of the lake.

Lady Deahstrikes eyes drifted upwards as she watched her base blow up under a massive explossion. The shock waves and peices of rubble swept her right off of her feet and knocked her away from Wolverine. "What the fuck just happened!" Roared the woman as she swiftly got back up onto her feet. Their base was lying in rubbles and their flag floating in the air till Victor grabbed it. Growling in anger she looked over to Wolverine "I'll be back." Then swiftly darted towards Sabertooth. As animalistic mutant jumped right onto the road that Deathstrike was on and started dashing for his base. He was swift, but thanks to her inhanced physical attributes she was able to reach him just in time. Lunging forward, Deathstrike extended her claws for his legs and was inches away from peircing his flesh.

When Psylocke appeared in the room, she saw Gambit's attak pass right throgh Emplate. Entering his mind right away to finish him off where he stood, Psylocke was shocked when she saw that he had shot a blast with Havok. "Nooo!" She roared as she formed a telekinetic barrier around her and another one around Gambit at the exact moment the plasma beam brought down the roof. Everything game dumbling around them as they were burried under the rubble. Keeping her barriers up, Psylocke would telepathicly give orders to Kity and Knightcralwer. Suddenly all the rubble beneith Emplate and Rogue would explode outwards as Psylocke pushed all the rubble away. Obviously passing through Emplate, Rogue would most likely be hit, haulting her attack. Nightcralwer and Kitty were gone as the remains of his hazy blue mist was beside Betsy, and Gambit was crouched a couple of feet beside Emplate and Psylocke.

"Tabarnaque that was a close one. Merci Betsy." Pulling her katan off her back and holding it up beside her head, pointing the tip right at Emplate as a purple aura formed around it Betsy replied "We not saved yet. Thank me later." Sweat trickled down her face as she continued "Hold Rogue off for a couple of seconds. Now, Emplate. Lets see how you like the taste of my blade" Psylocke was protecting the minds of all her teammates in the area except Gambit so if Emplate tried pulling off the same trick it wouldnt work this time.

Knightcralwer appeared underwater where Bishop and Iceman were grabbing both of their arms and vanished once again. Bringing them to where Psylocke had ordered him to, Nightcralwer reapeared over Deastrike. Grabbing her back, Kurt vanishe right before she was about to make contact with Victors leg. Since they were all still blind from Mastermind, Victor wouldnt realize anything and Logan and Raven would probably still be looking for Deathstrike.

Morph gave one final pull of force and completelty crushed Scelene's bons into her organs. Now that she was unconcious, she would die a swift death as her internal organs bled from inside her body. Swiftly unrapping herself around Scelene and coming back to his 'normal' state, he would look down and said "The bombs set." "I know dumbass..." The entire room shook as they lost their footing and fell to their knees. Swiftly getting back up Mastermind said "We just got trapped down here." "What the hell was that?" Suddenly Kitty dropped down from the ceiling and took shape once more landing onto the ground. "Come on, we need to get out of here." Kitty said waving her hands for them to join her. "Seeing as the bomb is set it is fit we leave swiftly." Kitty looked down at the bomb bellow her as she held hands with her two teammates. "Leave that up to me." Taking in the largest breath she could muster, she held her breath and phased all of them along with her. Passing into the ground Kitty would pass through the bomb. The bomb would malfunction and disrupt rendering it disactivated and usless.

Wolverine didn't feel a thing, but his body suddenly went tumbling back as if he had just received a blow. Right before Deathstrike could deliver a severe wound, she was knocked over her feet by the shockwave resulting from Havok's blast. After it cleared, Emplate turned to look at Psylocke. He felt her in his mind, so he kept his mental guard up, espcially when he noticed he couldn't get into hers. He stayed phased as the debree was blasted out in every direction. Rogue saw it coming at the last second and quickly switched the ice-beam into an ice-shield to block most of the flying rubble. The shield shattered and fell with the pieces of stone and wood. Her borrowed powers were gone, but they had achieved what they came here for.

(Time to go, Rogue...) Emplate telepathically said to the woman. Not wasting another second, she turned and flew back towards her other teammates. Still looking at Psylocke, Emplate would say, "As enticing as that sounds, it will have to wait for another time, my lovely..." With that, he sunk into the ground like a phantom and was gone. He knew the telepathic powers he had stolen were going to run out soon, so there was no time to waste. He would use what was left of them to protect his teammates' minds as well as his own while they made their escape.

"Time to get outta here, y'all!" Rogue shouted as she swooped down and picked Wolverine up off the ground like a football. Mystique had returned to her normal form and was following closely behind Sabertooth.

"Where the hell is Wade!?" she asked.

Looking over his shoulder, Victor replied with a fanged smirk, "Who gives a damn?" Mystique just shrugged as the 5 of them made their way back to home base.

"Dammit" was all Holocaust could say when he noticed Havoc glowing blue. He had planned on shooting him but he was not quick enough and it probably would not have done anything. The blast erupted and Holocaust was hit point blank range. Sam knew Emma was in danger and flew head first into the explosion because the energy around him created a barrier. Flying out of the explosion, Sam grabbed Emma and extended his shield around her as well protecting her from the blast as well. Meanwhile Juggernaut simply stood there and watched it come for him, and once it hit him he was blasted away. Sam came back down with Emma once the blast was gone, into the massive crater it had created. Emma thanked Sam for saving her and they both walked up to Holocaust. His helmet had been completely blown up and there were only a few remains of his suit left on, but he was still alive for now. They both turned to see Juggernaut stomping his way towards them, all burnt up. But from being basically immune to regular forms of damage, he survived. “Alright, Sam I got one more task for you. Juggernaut and I will check on Selene” as Emma explained what she wanted Sam to do.

Emma and Juggernaut ran towards the base knowing there were no other mutants around anymore. Sam picked up Holocaust, who was on the verge of death and flew high up into the air. Once the big building at the other end was in view, base 3, Sam slowed down a bit. “Alright pal, now’s your cue” Sam told Holocaust. “Don’t tell me what to do rodent” Holocaust roared, but it was an order from Frost so he was going to go threw with it. Besides he was going to die anyway, mine as well do something useful before dying. Pointing his cannon at the base Holocaust would release the remaining of his energy, all of it into one blast shooting it right at base 3. Once it made contact, it would collide right into the building with enough force to blow the building to smithereens, and everything inside of it as well. With that Holocaust’s body simply disappeared and all that was left was his armor. Sam flew back down placing the armor down and flying to Emma’s location.

Meanwhile, Juggernaut was tearing up the rubble from the building and whatever else was in the way to the basement where Selene was. Eventually they made it to the staircase of the basement and walked down. Emma entered to see Selene just standing there with a smile on her face, cracking her neck. “Got into a bit of a mess here” Selene said showing the bomb to Emma which was deactivated. “They managed to deactivate the bomb while Mastermind had me in an illusion. Luckily you have the other one” she concluded, with a smile. “thought I could trust you Selene, guess not” Emma said as she set the second bomb and placed it. The three of them walked out as Sam joined them. “You two head to the base right away” Emma said speaking about Sam and Selene. “Juggernaut and I will catch up later. I need to you see how things are going and even all is good before I get there, bring me the next bomb.” Sam nodded and flew into the air towards the base as Selene used her rapid movement to follow under Sam. Emma and Juggernaut started walking their way, as she was detecting for any mutant presence.

Psylocke felt Xavier's presence within Emplates mind but she could not find out where he was hiding him, he was blocking her from his mind with Xavier's powers. Pslyocke watched with anger as Emplate slowly vanished into the ground much like Kitty, and as Rogue swiftly flew away with her teammates. Slowly sheathing her sword onto her back, Gambit would say "Were just gonna let them leave? He took Mr. Xavier." Nightcralwer appeared with a burst of hazy black and blue smoke. Turning towards Kurt, he would inform them "Havok's team is dead and Emma's still alive." "Probably comming here." As much as Psylocke would love to slice Emma's neck in half, she ordered her team to retreat for a reason and didnt want to risk any more injuries or deaths from her fellow mutants. "Bring us back." Taking hold of both Betsy and Remy, the three of them disapeared from the chaos that once was their base.
